Showcasing the award-winning work of New Jersey native Ryan Mack.
With over a decade of experience documenting the dynamic beauty of the Jersey Shore, my photography captures everything from powerful hurricanes and major swells to coastal wildlife and serene seascapes all from both land and sea. Being in the water allows me to create immersive, up close imagery that reflects the power, grace, and emotion of surfing in its most honest form. I also document the changing seasons, from the harsh, snow covered winters to the vibrant, sun soaked summers that define life on the New Jersey coast.

New Jersey native and award-winning photographer Ryan Mack is proud to announce the upcoming release of The Shore, an 80-page softcover photo book that captures over a decade of life, weather, surf, and nature along the iconic Jersey Shore.
Far from a summer-only snapshot, The Shore is a curated collection of Ryan’s most compelling work showcasing the raw energy of powerful hurricanes and major swells, the quiet beauty of snow-covered winters, and the vibrant warmth of sun-soaked summers. From serene seascapes and coastal wildlife to the intensity of surf culture, the book reflects the year-round rhythm of life at the Shore.
Known for his immersive style, Mack often shoots directly from the water, allowing him to document the power, grace, and emotion of surfing from an intimate, honest perspective. His work offers a rare glimpse into the ever-changing personality of the coast from land and sea, and in every season.
“I’ve spent years chasing the light, the storms, and the stories that shape this place,” said Mack. “The Shore is more than a photo book - it’s a tribute to the wild, beautiful stretch of coast that’s defined so much of my life.”
